Vacuette® heparin tubes are coated on the inside wall with spray-dried lithium, ammonium or sodium heparin and are used to determine analytes in clinical chemistry. The additive acts as an anticoagulant, and blocks the clotting cascade.
All tubes have a paper label.
Vacuette® heparin separator tubes contain an inert separator gel on the base of the tube which, after centrifugation, forms a stable barrier between the plasma and the blood cells. Vacuette® heparin tubes with separator gel improve the plasma yield and allow plasma to be stored in primary tubes.
