We have the honour and the satisfaction to be the first to launch a perfect swab with medium in a new generation packaging! With the film-film (plastic-plastic) packaging, that consists of a laminate of 5 different sorts of plastic, we distance ourselves definitively of other swabs that are present on the market for years, that is to say the plastic-paper packaging (peel-pack).

Important: all liquid media swabs are only available for aerobic microbes!

What differs of a liquid media swab?
The use, comfort and packaging are the same as those of a regular gel swab. The difference is positioned at the swab’s bottom. By shoving the cotton bud in its case, it is pushed against a polyurethane sponge This sponge is permeated with 1 ml liquid transport medium and serves as moisturizing reservoir. By pushing the cotton top against the sponge the liquid medium is directly mixed with the sample by capillarity.

Benefits:

• No ampoule needs to be broken, nor does the membrane need to be penetrated.
• No longer dried out samples.
• The swab has direct contact with the permeated sponge.
