NAO®Basket for DNA recovery
The NAO®Basket (Nucleic Acid Optimizer) semi-permeable basket:
- Is a fast and highly efficient system for releasing and concentrating all human DNA from swab samples, cards punches or other specimens.
- Combined with a microtube: makes it possible to perform the lysis in one simple procedure, which guarantees an optimal extraction of the DNA.
- Is an innovative, leak-proof tube with grid bottom that ensures the transfer of DNA to the bottom during vortexing and centrifuging and that can endure different storage conditions.
- Combined with Copan FLOQSwabs®: ensures the complete release of all the sample collected by the swab, which is particularly important for testing the evidence at the crime scene.
- Is free from amplifiable human DNA, detectable DNase and RNase and has been treated with EtO.
- Reduces the risk of sample contamination due to significant reduction in manual handling.
- Is fully compatible with commercial nucleic acid extraction platforms.
