Centrifuges (Hettich)

Small centrifuges are light and compact, easy to move and require little space. They help save energy if the number of samples to be centrifuged is small. They are ideal for medical practices since they save space, are easy to operate and deliver results rapidly.

EBA 200 / EBA 200 S:

• Practical centrifuge for use with small sample volumes.
• Supplied with an angle rotor that can hold up to 8 x 15 ml tubes.
• Ideal centrifuge for medical practices.
• Can hold a variety of sample tubes.
• Can hold glass tubes without the need for an adapter.
• EBA 200 S is ideal when speed is very important.

EBA 270:

• Supplied with a swing-out rotor that has been developed specifically for use in medical practices.
• Particularly suitable for the centrifugation of sample tubes containing a separating gel.
• Delivers separation results comparable to those of a large centrifuge (optimally prepared for analysis).
• Used for the usual blood collection tubes and urine tubes up to a volume of 15 ml.

EBA 280 / EBA 280 S:

• Offers exceptional user comfort for small centrifuges and a choice between six rotors.
• It is possible to quickly switch from one rotor to another thanks to a newly developed rapid changeover system.
• Without the need for screws or tightening.
• EBA 280 S: Emergency samples can be processed in very little time.

Haematocrit centrifuges are primarily used to determine the percentage by volume of erythrocytes in blood.

• Used to derive plasma for the photometric determination of the bilirubin content of the blood of neonates.
• This high-performance centrifuge separates samples in just minutes.
• Up to 24 capillary tubes can be centrifuged in one run.
• Each capillary tube has its own chamber thanks to the segmented rotor.
• The haematocrit values can be read off after sedimentation is complete using the rotor lid which also serves for evaluation. The capillary tubes do not have to be removed for this purpose. This saves time and offers additional safety.

Microlitre centrifuges are used primarily in molecular biology, microbiology and genetic research, i.e. in applications in which high speeds are necessary to separate mixtures of low volume.

MIKRO 185

• Requires little space on the laboratory bench.
• It is the smallest member of the microcentrifuge range of Hettich and is ideal as a personal centrifuge for researchers in life sciences.
• The centrifuge has a capacity of 24 tubes.

MIKRO 200 / MIKRO 200 R

• Compact high-speed centrifuge that can hold up to 30 reaction tubes per run.
• Its comprehensive range of rotors and its high performance make it the ideal centrifuge for sample preparation in modern life science research.

MIKRO 220 / MIKRO 220 R

• One of the highest speeds of centrifuges used for microlitre applications.
• Delivers results very fast.
