Decalcifier I = fixative/decalcifier.
Decalcifier II = rapid decalcifier.
Decalcifier I is a unique decalcifying solution that has the ability to fix and decalcify at the same time.
Needle biopsies may be completely fixed and decalcified in one hour or less. Small bone specimens and calcified arteries may be completely fixed and decalcified in approximately 2-4 hours.
Tissues decalcified in this solution cut with ease and routine H&E techniques produce excellent stained sections. The Surgipath Decalcifier I-II combination can save valuable time and more importantly, valuable specimens.
