We have the honour and the satisfaction to be the first to launch a perfect swab with medium in a new generation packaging! With the film-film (plastic-plastic) packaging, that consists of a laminate of 5 different sorts of plastic, we distance ourselves definitively of other swabs that are present on the market for years, that is to say the plastic-paper packaging (peel-pack).

- Hermetical packaging: the air is sucked out of the packaging, and replaced by a small amount of nitrogen gas (N2) in the assembly’s final stadium. This has a very stabilizing influence on the transport medium. Because of this, oxydation is nearly impossible, as long as the packaging is not opened, and the expiry date is extended considerably by the complete barrier with oxygen.
- This unique hermetical packaging also stops each form of evaporation and/or dehydration of the gel or of the liquid transport medium. There is a visible garantuee and “First use” proof when the sterility seal is broken through because a white colouring of the seal occurs from the moment there is contact with the outside surrounding area.
- More environment-friendly: whereas before the packaging consisted of 2 components, that is to say paper and plastic, now it consists of 100% plastic (just 1 component).
- Moreover, also overpackaging s taken into consideration. All swabs with medium are packed by 50 in a VI-PAK foil packaging: an aluminium blister packaging in which the air, that was sucked out, was replaced by nitrogen gas. In this manner, the quality of the unused swab is guaranteed even longer! Because of the N2-barrier, the oxygen (O2) cannot oxidize with the medium and because of the dark light impermeable film, the UV-light cannot influence the gel.
Important: all gel swabs are available for both aerobic and anaerobic microbes!
