CellNass dedicated archiving solution

CellNass stands for 'Cellular Pathology National Archive Secure Storage'. It is a unique concept: external archiving with a 'recall on request' service. CellNass is a customer focused, cost-efficient and quality enhancing concept that has been specifically developed to meet the needs of modern anatomical pathology laboratories. CellNass meets the ever-increasing need for the storage and archiving of pathological samples (slides and paraffin blocks) and the increasing costs associated with this.

Our services are extremely flexible, which increases the continuity and quality of your organisation. Your archive is guaranteed to be securely stored and our service offers you the latest database technology. In addition, you can receive requested samples within 24 hours via our online recall service.

This concept was developed in Great Britain, where it has served a large number of British hospitals and laboratories for many years. MLS nv is the official CellNass partner in the Benelux.

Features:

  • External archiving frees up valuable space in laboratories and hospitals.
  • CellNass maps out your entire archive and makes the location of samples digitally traceable.
  • Laboratory staff can fully concentrate on their work instead of wasting time searching for samples in the archive.
  • Expensive storage cabinets no longer need to be purchased.
  • Security: the CellNass warehouse has fire and smoke detection, burglar alarm, access control, camera security and 24/7 temperature and humidity control.
  • Privacy: MLS|CellNass does not record patient data.
  • CellTrak: online archive management. Via the unique online platform you can consult your archive at any time, request samples for shipping, download reports, etc.
  • The CellNass quality service guarantees perfect assessments during external audits.

How does it work?

  • During an ‘uplift’ your archive has a thorough inventory made before it is safely transported to the CellNass warehouse.
  • All samples are then professionally packed in specially designed boxes.
  • During the packing, all data is put into the CellTrak system so that all samples become digitally traceable.
  • Archived pallets are assigned a location in the CellNass warehouse.
  • The CellTrak system allows samples to be requested and to be sent in specially designed safe packaging.
  • After analysis, the samples are returned and placed back in the CellNass warehouse at MLS.
