The SafetyBag is fitted with an absolutely liquid-tight safety fastener. The packaging is made of strong transparent polyethylene and is guaranteed to keep liquid in and out. The bag is hermetically sealed simply by removing the covering strip.

Application
The SafetyBag is most suitable as secondary liquid-tight packaging for, among other things, Biological Substances of category B.

Specifications:

  • Material: transparent polyethylene, thickness 70 micron.
  • Fastener: flap fastener with covering strip for a fluid-tight fastening (BAM-Zulassung).
  • Print: provided as standard with directions for use, unique barcode and numbering and UN3373 sign. varying formats and prints possible on request.
  • The mailing of Biological Substances (UN3373) as letter post is subject to the packaging instruction P650 (ADR).

The single-tube 95 kPa specimen transport bags with integrated absorbency are designed to ensure safe and compliant storage and transportation of diagnostic and clinical samples, infectious and hazardous materials, chemicals, pharmaceuticals and environmental samples.


  • Compliant with the relevant transport regulations including UN2814-UN2900, UN3373 & Packing Instruction 650.
  • Provides effective secondary packaging for clinical diagnostic samples & biological samples.
  • Features leak-proof adhesive closures, puncture resistant, printed tracking information etc.
  • Able to withstand 95 kPa pressure.
  • Independently tested & verified.
  • Absorbent cushioning layer inside soaks up liquid (7,2 ml). An outer, waterproof PE film ensures liquid enclosure. Absorbent insert: 45 x 200 mm.
